RECEPTIONIST/ADMIN ASSISTANT [PART TIME JOB SHARE] MATERNITY LEAVE COVER

Home and Family is recognised within the social services sector and community as a leading and well established not for profit counselling service.  The role advertised is for 18 weeks’ maternity leave cover.  You will need to be available to attend training week beginning 11th December, with the maternity leave cover commencing Mon 15th January 2018 through until Sat 20th May 2018.

The role is for 24 hours per week, based at our Mt Eden office.  Hours of work are Wed 12:45pm to 5:15pm [4.5 hrs], Thur 9:30am to 5:30pm [7.5 hrs], Frid 8:45am to 5.15pm [7.50 hrs] & Sat 8:45am to 1:00pm [4.5 hrs].  There may be additional hours requested to cover for sickness, meetings and annual leave absences.

Home and Family is seeking a resilient team player who can hit the ground running.  We have a need for flexibility both in terms of the time available to commit to the role and also the flexibility to work in a fast paced environment yet still maintain the warm, friendly face Home and Family requires as its first point of contact.    We are offering a short term, varied and interesting position working with an organisation dedicated to promoting the well-being of families, children, youth and adults.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We are currently looking for the following volunteers.

1. Fundraising volunteers 

We rely heavily on the wonderful work of our volunteers who fulfill an essential fundraising role helping us to continue to provide our donation-based service.

We’re looking for keen, enthusiastic people who love organising fundraising events or being part of a team that makes great ideas happen!

It’s a great opportunity to get involved in your community, meet new people and make new friends. We provide full support so don’t worry if you are new to this. Enthusiasm and a positive attitude is all that is required!

2. Maintenance volunteers

We’re searching for regular volunteers to assist us with lawn mowing [very small area] and perhaps some general exterior work such as gutter cleaning and exterior washing [once or twice per year].   We have premises in Mt Eden and Northcote.   Not essential but we would love someone who could also turn their hand to other small maintenance tasks to help us keep our centres looking lovely for our clients.   If you think you might be able to help on a regular basis, even in a small way, please contact Sheryl Amundsen on 09 630 8961 or email Sheryl.Amundsen@homeandfamily.org.nz
